April 14th

Alan and I had the day off to participate in a big moment....Kindergarten Screening!! He did very well, scoring perfect on some sort of language/verbal test...everything else came out in normal range. T-Ball starts in 2 weeks, so I am hoping to meet more people in Rhinebeck...It is such a great school district. The guidance counselor at the high school promised me he wouldn't retire until after Alan graduated!

Oh! BTW, We thought this was funny....He asked the teacher about naps and lunch - then he made a joke. When he learned that they have lunches there, he said, "do they have spinach, my daddy likes spinach..."then looked at Roger and laughed...We all chuckled...

It was a special day too. Alan woke up and made his own breakfast, eating it on his new red bean bag chair. He was excited about the day, but was a little down on himself for having problems singing... Luckily, Bob came to the rescue and gave Alan his first voice lesson.

...what else? Kind of tired, but here are the highlights:
- Out to lunch with Alan (again!)..Pete's in Rhinebeck
- Glued and painted a wooden airplane ( I glued, Alan painted)
- Enjoyed a popsicle on the back porch with Alan...
- Shot rocket balloons in the front yard..
- Walk, played with the kids again from yesterday and met a new kid as well....

Need to get the bath ready for Alan...(wacky watermellon)....have a great night! :)
