THANKFUL!! Lawn was mowed as I pulled into the house yesterday..Last season we typcially just did the front, and didn't do the side and back as the cord to our electric mower wasn't long enough, and it was an extra hassle. Now, as I look through thr beautiful back window, not only do I see the lilacs starting to bloom, but the grass near our Buddha is all mowed to!!! It's the small things in life that bring a smile to my face!!!
Yesterday, I took the afternoon off..routine parent - teacher conference day...reviewed ideas for next year.... Out to lunch with Alan at Panera Bread..then off to my least favorite activity. I couldn't delay getting him sneakers and t-shirts. Picture day is Friday, and I wanted to get him a new shirt (red!).
Last night we found a strange place to meet new friends. Alan wanted to make a left not a right at the top of the hill, so that meant...cemetary. His newest favorite subject to talk about is God and Heaven. We actually met a very nice 9 year old boy and 11 year old girl at the cemetary...they live across the street from the cemetary and know it very well...they played several games together. First, Alan facilitated a game of Delta takeoff, and the three of them buzzed around gravestones. Then they asked him to play several jump rope games followed by tag. Alan had some trouble with jumping rope, but he was incredibly sweet with them....we also got an earful from these children about their homelife....
More adventures today!!!!
