Christmas FUN!!!! December 14th

The holiday season doesn't get any more wholesome than caroling with the girl scouts at a senior residence...with hot chocolate and brownies...and with 7 boys all under the age of 7...and we live to tell about it!!! Alan was a bit of a handful, and was more interested in playing with his "one horse open siegh", but he said his favorite part of the afternoon was his friend "Ben-Ben", then quickly changed his mind to..."the brownie" ----

Voting for...

Alan and I went to vote together last night. I asked him who he wanted to vote for....He said that he wanted to vote for Pop-Pop. I told him that Pop-Pop was already the "King" (or was it the DUKE?) - and that he was next in line for that crown. In the meantime, I told him that he could pull the lever for Obama!!

Jammin

Alan has become quite the musician. I took him to jam in Kingston last week with some folk singer friends who gathered near the Senate House, and he played for them the "Rock-n-Roll ABCs" and "Happy Birthday." Here he is with my father, probably playing the BG's (oh no!)!! Well, at least he will be well-rounded musically! Please note how he made a microphone out of Tinker Toys!

Dinner with the Avallone crew

Enjoyed dinner tonight with the Avallone crew. I made "pulled pork", baked asparagus, mashed sweet potatoes, fresh beets and homemade cornbread. Yummy. The boys watched 101 Dalmations. After dinner Alan drew vaccum cleaners and Ivan drew a picture of his sister Olivia....I am told by the parents that tonight - at my house -that Olivia played with her first toy!!! I caught it on camera!!!

CORNBREAD - Made from scratch - I agree with the boys...the "corn cake" could have been more sweet...but it was still pretty tasty.
